Anna Marchesani is an Italian photographer based in London, she brought her work to my attention by using the #nodado
“I am a big fan of the Japanese culture as well having a passion for Hong Kong/Cantonese cinematography, so I often try to bring these two things into my work”.
Marchesani works under the name ‘Nocturna Photography’ and she specializes in music and portrait photography.
This project tries to marry two cultures, western and eastern, bringing together the Rococo style and Japanese Kimono with a modern twist. In terms of the photography itself, I was actually inspired by the work of Wing Shya and Wong Kar Wai.
